Maine's southern coast is a natural extension of the New England weddings I already play. From the seacoast around Kittery and York up through the Greater Portland area, the barns, working waterfronts, and oceanfront inns give a celebration a setting that's hard to beat. Southern Maine sits toward the far edge of my standard service area, so I plan the day around an early, unhurried arrival. Setup stays calm and the timeline never feels rushed. Getting to Maine from Shirley
Kittery and York are about 75 miles from Shirley, roughly 90 minutes. Greater Portland runs about two hours and 15, which puts it at the edge of the radius. I-95 up the coast in July and August is its own event, so I leave with room for it and still land two and a half to three hours before guests.

Do you travel to southern Maine, and is there a travel fee?
Yes, with no travel fee. The seacoast at Kittery and York, the Kennebunks, and Greater Portland sit inside the 120 miles I cover from Shirley. Portland is close to the outer edge, so an early conversation helps, and the drive costs you nothing.
Which southern Maine wedding venues have you played?
Foster's Clam Bake and Union Bluff are the southern Maine venues on my list so far. It is a short list, and I would rather keep it honest than pad it. Tell me your venue and your date, and I will know the room before you do.
How do you handle outdoor ceremonies and tents in Maine?
Coastal ceremonies get their own speakers and wireless mics for the officiant and readers, because wind off the water takes an unamplified voice apart. Tented receptions get a footprint and power planned before the date. An evening cutoff gets built into the night.
How long is the drive from Shirley to York or Portland?
York is about 90 minutes and Portland about two hours and 15. I arrive two and a half to three hours before guests, and for southern Maine I add more on top, because summer traffic on I-95 is predictable enough to plan around.
