Nashua and Manchester are cities, and the weddings that belong to them mostly happen just outside the two downtowns. A working winery in Amherst, a grove of pines in Hollis, a clubhouse on a golf course in Nashua. Guests stay in town and drive out for the evening. The rooms run from a great room and a covered terrace to a banquet hall and a clubhouse ballroom, and nearly every one of them pairs an indoor space with an outdoor ceremony site that has no walls. Two different acoustic problems on one timeline.
Getting to Nashua and Manchester from Shirley
Nashua is about 20 miles from Shirley, half an hour on Route 13 or Route 3. Manchester is about 40 miles and 50 minutes on Route 3 and the Everett Turnpike, and Amherst and Hollis sit between at 20 to 30 minutes. The Everett Turnpike tolls are the only variable, and they are not much of one. Arrival is 2.5 to 3 hours before guests, and the first part of that goes to the outdoor ceremony site, which is the furthest thing from a power outlet.

Can you cover a ceremony, cocktails, and reception in three spaces?
Yes, and around here that is the normal shape. A vineyard or a grove for the ceremony, a terrace or a lawn for cocktails, then the hall. Each space gets its own sound, standing and checked before guests get there, so nothing has to be moved mid event.
