How do you plan a day that uses both the bay side and the Sound?
The two shores are a short drive apart, and couples often marry near one and eat near the other. That means two setups, or one setup plus a separate ceremony system that travels. I plan which pieces move and when, so the transition happens while your guests are occupied somewhere else. Sunset timing usually decides the order, and the timeline gets built backward from it.
Can the ceremony happen on a deck over the water?
A deck over the water works, with one adjustment. It is an open room with a hard floor and nothing behind it to hold sound, so speakers go low and close rather than loud. Wireless microphones cover the officiant and the readings. The bigger question is where the gear sits without standing in the view, and that gets settled on a site plan well before the day.
When is everything set and checked at a Dennis venue?
Everything is standing 2.5 to 3 hours ahead of your guests, and in summer I leave early enough that Route 6 cannot change that. Setup, cable runs, and soundcheck all finish inside that window. At a beachfront inn it includes working around hotel guests coming and going. At a barn it includes power and a plan for where the tent lines and the cable meet.
